There's nothing like a cold fall night to bask in the warmth of African music and dance. In a benefit at the Pacific Crab Co. Oyster Bar & Grill (203–1184 Denman Street) next Thursday (October 19), the Kokoma African Heritage Ensemble turns up the heat. The gala, which also includes raw oysters and South African wine, raises funds for Angels of Soweto, a group that provides palliative care for some of the 26 million people in sub-Saharan Africa infected with HIV and AIDS.
