Canada's Next Top Model finalist Sisi Wang at local fashion show

If you're fan of Canada's Next Top Model, you'll recognize the name Sisi Wang. She was the finalist from Richmond whose personality grated against the other girls.

In one episode, she got into a heated argument with an African-Canadian girl who had a habit of blow drying her hair late at night. In a low blow, the other girl made fun of Sisi's Chinese accent. Tsk tsk.

But I guess such is the world of reality TV.

Anyhow, Wang is going to make an appearance on the runway at the Art Institute's upcoming fashion show.

Here are the details:

The Art Institute of Vancouver’s Fashion Show 2007 just became Vancouver’s most fashionable celebrity hotspot. Celebrated “popera” artists DESTINO, a group of four successful solo tenors, as well as Canada’s Next Top Model finalist SiSi Wang will attend Metamorphosis, Return to Innocence. A ticket into the show, which represents over 35 of Vancouver’s most promising, young fashion designers, guarantees a night of style and entertainment that should not be missed. The Fashion Show takes place on September 25 at the River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond at 8:00 p.m.

DESTINO’s young talents, Giovanni Amenta, Leon Leontaridis, Joey Niceforo and Paul Ouellette, fuse the musical elements of pop, opera, gospel, and R&B sounds with their well-trained voices. The Vancouver-based quartet has created a large fan-base ranging from baby boomers to younger generations who have popularized their romantic ballads.

Sisi Wang, remembered most for her appearance on season one of the hit realty show Canada’s Next Top Model, is set to walk the Metamorphosis runway. This Richmond-born model has skyrocketed in the modeling world after winning third place in the intense competition. Since the show, Wang has been busy posing for multiple advertising campaigns and has been photographed for national and international fashion magazine spreads.

Join The Art Institute of Vancouver’s graduating designers as they celebrate their final collections with musical entertainment from DESTINO and a special guest appearance from Canada’s model-of-the-moment, Sisi Wang.
