Tickets are bound to go fast, so here's a heads up to dig out your flapper dress and '40s purse for a weekend at the Vancouver Museum devoted to La Belle Epoque (November 3 and 4, noon to 4 p.m.). Your $25 ticket gets you in to see the fashion exhibit and a 2 p.m. show by local fashion historian Ivan Sayers, who can tell you all about your outfit. Bring those lockets and ear bobs too, and learn from jewellery expert Richard Fauteux if they really are valuable heirlooms. Assessments are free for the first item, and $5 each thereafter. There's also afternoon tea (for an extra $5) by the Secret Garden Tea Company.
