Starring Christian Bale (Batman Begins) and Russell Crowe (Cinderella Man), 3:10 to Yuma takes audiences back to the golden age of Hollywood westerns. Crowe plays Ben Wade, a notorious outlaw who has finally seen justice get the best of him. Bale is Dan Evans, a desperate farmer who has to escort Wade to Yuma prison. A showdown is inevitable.

ECHOES OF HOME
An exploration of the sonic ties that bind people as diverse as a crying baby and a mountain yodeller. Set against a backdrop of breathtaking scenery, this film from Switzerland was an official selection at the Vancouver, Berlin, and Melbourne international film festivals.

KLIMT
John Malkovich (Beowulf, The Libertine) stars as Gustav Klimt, a controversial Austrian painter who rose to fame at the turn of the 20th century. Set in decadent Vienna, the film depicts Klimt when he was filled with erotic ambition and battling an oppressive Italian government.

SUNSHINE
Set in the year 2057, this sci-fi thriller follows a spaceship crew on an all-or-nothing mission to reignite Earth’s dying sun and save humanity. Attention to cinematography and postproduction special effects make Sunshine a visual splendour.

THE YACOUBIAN BUILDING
Based on the Egyptian novel by Alaa Al Aswany and set in contemporary downtown Cairo, The Yacoubian Building tells the intertwined stories of an apartment building’s diverse residents. Released in 2002, the novel went from a major deal in the Arab world to an international bestseller.
