These days, the majority of planetary action is taking place in the winter signs Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces. Pluto’s 16-year visit to Capricorn will certainly change the way we conduct business between nations. It seems like we are in a time when, rather than being proactive with our efforts to help one another, we are reactive, as we dash hither and yon, placing the cosmetic bandages where needed. The danger is that we run the risk of becoming even more fragmented and isolated from one another as we cling to our ingrained belief systems, outworn ideologies, or fanatical religious or racist doctrines. We may experience extensive trials and tribulations as we learn how to trust one another as people and as nations. Cain slew Abel, and it hasn’t stopped since. The only possible way is for us to become strong and brave enough not to pick up a gun in order to get our point across.
The stars are offering assistance as the new moon solar eclipse takes place on February 6 in the middle of Aquarius. Solar eclipses are believed to have an influence for at least a year and possibly longer; this is a good thing in the sense that the positions of the planets at eclipse time will carry their resonance, energy, and vibration throughout the year. Neptune, the planet of universal love and compassion, sits close to the eclipse degree, and will assist us in opening our hearts and minds as we strive to find the commonalities, rather than the differences, between all people.
Imagine our little Earth, tiny really, in the cosmic scheme of things. We exist near the edge of one arm of one spiral galaxy among countless galaxies and countless universes in which innumerable suns, moons, and planets are doing their thing. By the way, our problems are universal in the true sense of the word. We cry for peace, and so does all of creation. God weeps as well, and longs for his children to return to his bosom. In our quest for peace, we should ban handguns, and while we’re at it, let’s ban all weapons, period. Imagine a world with no weapons—what a place it would be. It has to start somewhere. We would move quickly and decisively to remove a poisonous serpent from our midst, and we should do the same with weapons.
