The Pisces new moon on March 7 signals a time of intense action, most of it hidden from our eyes. We are experiencing the last of the winter signs, and spring is close at hand. A thaw begins, and the earth prepares for yet another round of life.

As in nature, we can assume that there’s a lot of behind-the-scenes activity going on in the houses of power. Shifts, shocks, changes, and surprises by the dozen are on the menu. This isn’t a time to write things in stone or set in place the cornerstone. It is definitely a time to uproot, renew, redo, and throw out anything that has outlived its usefulness.

Mars opposes Pluto on March 7, another indicator that the knives will be out, although hidden in the cloak. It’s a dangerous time, indeed, as the power elite play their game of musical chairs. The sun conjuncts Uranus on March 8, bringing shock waves and unusual circumstances to the fore.

It’s an exciting time, one when we can rewrite the script and start afresh. In a weird way, the energy is like that of New Year’s Day, when we look forward to the upcoming year. We must gird our loins and prepare to step out onto the edge. We must dare to be provocative, bold, brave, and be determined to get it right.

With Mars, the planet of militancy, moving through Cancer (our nation’s birth sign), we will collectively be in the mood to solve our housing and homeless problem, a major blemish on and embarrassment to our society. There’s no turning back—forward march into the future. Ask yourself how you can help, and then go do it.
