My parents called it jankenpon. One of our South African staffers says he called it ching-chong-cha.
Whatever you call it, almost everyone has played rock-paper-scissors.
Canadian indie filmmakers Tim Dorion and April Mullen have made a mockumentary called Rock, Paper, Scissors: The Way of the Tosser based on the timeless game, and are touring it across the country.
They'll also be holding rock-paper-scissors tournaments (winners get $100 and the grand prize is a walk-on role in their next feature).
Here's a trailer of the film:
They'll be screening it at the UBC Norm Theatre on Monday, March 17 at 7 and 9 p.m. (with a tournament at the Pit Pub at 11 p.m.). On Tuesday, March 18, it'll play at Fifth Avenue Cinemas at 9:30 p.m.
