Netizens have been lighting up the blogosphere with rumours that a character from the TV show Gossip Girl is set to announce his gayhood.

The announcement will come as no surprise to onlookers, considering the males in question are pretty boy characters who star on a show called "Gossip Girl" and hang out with J.C. Chasez.

Coming out of the closet is increasingly used as a means to gain publicity, and now—contrary to traditional thought—can even be done more than once. 

No word has been issued yet if any of the characters will come out as straight.
