An April 4 report on Pravda, a Russian news website, shows a new range of delicate candies–babies. Pink and in painstaking detail–right down to the hair colouring and innies or outties–these chocolates look ready for human consumption.

The pictures, with babies shown in the palm off someone's hand, are genuinely disturbing. Aside from the tastelessness of their making, the mind boggles as to any future marketing campaign, and also who came up with the concept in the first place.

We can only assume it was a lonely creative who's been stuck indoors with a Silence of the Lambs collectors’ edition, or an old relative of Russian serial killer and cannibal Andrei Chikatilo, who murdered 53 people between 1978 and 1990.
