Your horoscope for April 17 to 23, 2008

By Mac McLaughlin

The power of the people will be apparent as the full moon on April 20 sheds light on our problems and concerns. A series of excellent planetary aspects takes hold, and a shift toward the positive occurs. In Vedic astrology, the Nakshatra (moon mansion) that the moon will be moving through at full moon time is important, as it will help us understand the quality and character of the times. Although the moon will be at zero Scorpio in the tropical zodiac at full moon time, it falls back to six degrees of Libra according to the sidereal zodiac. Says Vedic astrologer Dennis M. Harness in his book The Nakshatras:

“The fifteenth nakshatra is called Swati, which resides entirely with the sign of Libra, the scales. It is primarily located near the golden star Arcturus, the brightest single star in the constellation Bootis. Swati means ‘the sword’ and reflects a strong desire for independence.”

The sun, Saturn, and Pluto form a grand triangle at full moon time, which is very auspicious indeed. Opportunities for unification, cooperation, and trust among the nations present themselves. Mars opposes Jupiter, and there will no doubt be clashes in the pushing and shoving match between those who oppress and those who seek freedom, liberty, and justice.

The spring will be an exceedingly tense time, interspersed with
opportunities to work out just what is wrong. We instinctively relax when the good times are upon us, and we tighten up when the energy is negative, but we might want to do things differently this time. Instead of going into party mode when the stars are harmonious, this is the perfect time to initiate actions that will truly help the world and its inhabitants. Let’s put the big push on, stand together as one people on one planet, and allow all people to be free. Love is the answer, and generosity too; let’s see what we can do.

Aries
March 21 - April 19

You will experience a great flurry of activity accompanied by very intense energy from April 17 to 20. No time to doubt and no time to figure it out, only time to be strong, brave, and fearless, or at least face your fears. The sun shines brighter once this is over.

Taurus

It is all grace from the Lord and an opportunity to alleviate some old karma.

Cancer
