Pranked by both scientists and researchers

Is it possible that the article titled “Global warming hits home” [April 17-24] was meant to be tongue-in-cheek? The peak of this warming cycle was in 1998. The last warming episode was the 1920–1940 period, and 1934 beat out 1998 as the warmest 20th-century year by a few tenths of a degree.

It is getting cooler, and the warming was mostly in the Northern Hemisphere and was therefore not “global”. Sunspot cycles closely correspond with warming/cooling trends, and CO2 levels just do not.

Perhaps Vancouver city staff were reluctant to make maps of Vancouver’s drowning, as suggested by Coun. David Cadman, because one foot in 100 years isn’t much to get excited about.

In fact, it is time for all of us to understand that we are being subjected to the biggest hoax in history, which will contribute to global malnutrition as food is turned into fuel.
