TV Heart Attack gets video love

By Adrian Mack
It scooped the best music-video award at last month’s Okanagan Film Festival, not long after taking the “Best Use of Creativity” honours at New Jersey’s No Exit Music Video Festival in January. Now Vancouver’s TV Heart Attack is looking at a trifecta after scoring a Leo nomination for its “Bang Bang Bang” video. “We’re getting a lot of mileage out of a video we made for $500,” frontman Jason Corbett told the Straight.

The handsome black-and-white promo, directed by Jeremy Lutter of Broken Mirror Films, features Corbett falling for a noirish femme fatale who frames him for murder. “I was really pleased with how much of a story we got in there,” Corbett said. Leo winners will be announced at the Westin Bayshore hotel on May 23. Other music-video nominees include “Flower Child” by the Higgins, “In This Room” by Ambush, and “Switch It Up” by Joey Styles. Last year’s award went to DJ Murge for “Great Minds”.
