Film presents arguments against free trade
The North American Free Trade Agreement was implemented in 1994. What is your opinion of the effect of the agreement on our country?
If you're interested in hearing an argument against NAFTA, you might want to check out the screening of the documentary Hoodwinked: The Myth of Free Trade.
There are interviews with Dalton Camp, University of Toronto professor Stephen Clarkson, Canada Research Chair for Social Justice at the University of Regina Shadia Drury, David Orchard, columnist and Canadian Auto Workers economist Jim Stanford, former prime minister John Turner, and UBC sociology associate professor Peter Urmetzer.
The film will screen on May 14 and 15 at the Ridge Theatre (3131 Arbutus St.) at 4 and 7 p.m.
