Let's hope that the latest fashion trend, environmentally conscious designs, isn't just a passing marketing fad, and becomes integral to the business.

A slew of local designers will showcase their eco-friendly collections at the fRESH Fashion Show on Friday, May 16 at 7 p.m. at Capilano Mall. It's copresented by the North Vancouver Community Arts Council.

Designers will include:
• Katherine Soucie/Sans Soucie
• Leanne McElroy/Elroy Apparel
• Wendy van Resien/Dahlia Drive
• Randi Obenauer/Ora Apparel and Design
• paper designer Natalie Trudelle
• students of Helen Lefaux Inc. School of Fashion Design and the University College of the Fraser Valley.

Before the show, there'll be a musical performance by Pancho and Sal, and the show will be followed by a reception with snacks and refreshments.
