Take a bite out of Vancouver’s Apple store from May 24

Finally, the wait is over. Vancouver’s first Apple store opens its doors this Saturday (May 24), at Pacific Centre.

The new store will have a test station where customers can try out new Apple products such as the Mac Book Air and the iPod touch (I hope there will be testable iPhones). Sure, you can buy a Mac and other Apple products from many other retail outlets, but the new Apple store will have a one-to-one program to help customers get started with their Macs, as well workshops and special programs for kids.

More information about Apple’s retail stores can be found at www.apple.ca/retail/ and www.apple.com/retail/.

Nice store …. nothing much that we can’t buy online or other stores in Vancouver already.

I tried to buy two things today but they don’t seem set up for debit customers and sent me to wait for 10 mins at the Genius Bar to pay there but I just left it (they seem to be pushing payment by credit card for some reason?!).

Lots of people seemed to just be looking.
