Your horoscope for June 5 to 11, 2008
The true worth of an astrologer is measured by his or her capacity to help us understand and prepare for the upcoming energy that is presented by the movement of the planets and their effect on our personal horoscope. It is the astrologer’s greatest responsibility to help those that he or she can to comprehend the ebb and flow of life envisioned through the stars.
I am not concerned about when someone will die; I am more concerned about how they live. We would never set sail with storm clouds appearing on the horizon. We would wait it out. Sometimes in life we are compelled to move toward our destiny in spite of whatever the stars or the weather say. Unfortunately for society, most people are not truly aware of the great treasures held in store by their birth potential and their upcoming cycles.
The United Astrology Conference in Denver last month made the news here because of what astrologers were saying regarding the presidential race in the U.S. Although 1,500 astrologers from all over the world showed up, the best that our local news team could do was to tack on some spooky Halloween music and carry on about predictions. It means that people in general don’t give a rat’s bum about the great scholars and other brilliant minds that walk the halls at those conferences, for what the public wants is predictions, which most astrologers are loath to make. Strange, eh? Well, here are a few scenarios for you to ponder regarding the U.S. elections.
I am very concerned for Barack Obama, as his chart is indicating a most profound time in his life from now until spring 2009. June, July, and August are times in which shocks and surprises, mishaps and upsets, will come into play. The U.S. is a virtual powder keg, and it won’t take much of a spark to set off a massive revolution in consciousness. Certainly, what happens south of the 49th will eventually affect us as well. The people of the U.S. may become tired of it all, and John McCain could be the next president. His age and his overall health could work against him. Barack Obama fits the energy of the times, as his chart indicates that he would bring profound and far-reaching changes to the planet. If the people are in the mood to truly stretch and grow, then Obama will rule the land. If fear and paranoia rule the days, anything can happen and probably will.
The time is right for the U.S. and Canada—for the world, for that matter—to make some giant steps into the future, or continue to fall back into the familiar ways in which the power elite run the show, guaranteeing our eventual demise. Pluto is transiting over the ascendant of the U.S. chart in the fall, along with the Saturn-Uranus opposition going on at the same time, and we will witness and be part of the wave of changes from this period. Pluto will eventually transit opposite to Canada and the U.S., bringing a time in which great transformations come about for these countries, stretching from now until 2015.
