Super Smash Bros. Brawl

By Blaine Kyllo,

Fight your family, smash your friends

Made by Nintendo for the Wii, the Smash Bros. franchise is, at its core, a simplified fighting game for the whole family. There are no eight-foot swords or suggestive S?&?M outfits here, as there are in so many other Japanese-developed fighting games. Instead what you get is straightforward, two-button attack combos and the chance to go head-to-head with one of 35 characters from various titles from Nintendo and select partners (including Snake from Konami’s Metal Gear Solid and Sega’s Sonic the Hedgehog). While the game includes a single-player adventure mode, you’ll have the most fun lining up against friends and smashing each other about.
