Vampire attack scheduled at Stanley Park on Friday night
Vell, hello, my luvlies. Do you vant to see a vampire attack in Vancouver?
You'll get your chance on Friday night (August 22) in Ceperley Meadow (near the red fire engine and Second Beach in Stanley Park).
There'll be a free outdoor screening of the 1931 version of Dracula starring Bela Lugosi at 9 p.m.
You can take a blanket or folding chair to sit on, and the Park Board suggests bringing a flashlight as well for when you exit the park after the film. They also recommend to walk or bike as parking is limited.
The following Friday (August 29, 9 p.m.), The Creature From the Black Lagoon (1954) will rise up to terrorize the park. (Perhaps something will something rise up from Lost Lagoon too?).
If it rains or is too windy, the screening will be cancelled .Check the monster movie hotline at 604-473-6205 for updates.
