Vancouver Quadra rematch: Deborah Meredith versus Joyce Murray

Today, Conservative Party of Canada president Don Plett announced that Deborah Meredith will run again in the Vancouver Quadra riding.

Meredith, who teaches in the Sauder School of Business,  lost by 151 votes to Liberal Joyce Murray in a by-election last March.

Murray is a former cabinet minister in the Gordon Campbell government.

Plett's announcement scotches rumours that Foreign Affairs Minister David Emerson will switch ridings from Vancouver Kingsway to Vancouver Quadra.

In July, Langara journalism instructor Nicholas Read, a resident of Vancouver Quadra,  told the Straight that he had been polled about Emerson.
