Jerry Granelli and the V-16 Project

There are many good reasons to see Jerry Granelli’s V-16 Project at the Ironworks on Friday (October 17). There’s the veteran drummer’s penchant for widescreen, filmic compositions and the warm rapport he has with his bass-playing son, J. Anthony Granelli. But the real reason we’re hyping this show is that this is jazz even blues-rockers might enjoy, given the presence of unsung slide genius David Tronzo, who shares guitar duties with the smoother but no less imaginative Christian Kogel.
