Meet Joe the Plumber, unwitting star of the U.S. presidential debate
If you watched the third and final American presidential debate, you'll no doubt be wondering: who, in tarnation, is Joe the Plumber?
Well, Joe the Plumber, whose name was invoked 11 times at the start of the debate—nine times by McCain, twice by Obama—is Joe Wurzelbacher, a guy who confronted Obama in Ohio with questions about the Democratic presidential candidate's tax plan.
His concerns about being taxed more after buying a business that brings in over $250,000 have made him the most famous plumber in America.

Here's the truth about Joe, according to various news sources. Despite his stated concerns about Obama's taxation plans, it seems <a href="http://bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=aWDHvDjnDnTs&refer=home" target="_blank">he can't even be bothered to pay his taxes</a>. Also, it turns out that he's <a href="http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27207215/from/ET/" target="_blank">not actually a licensed plumber</a>.
