David Copperfield brings illusions to the Centre for Performing Arts

    1 of 1 2 of 1

Wannabes like David Blaine and Criss Angel may be trying to grab the spotlight, but when it comes to great illusionists, David Copperfield has always been at the top of the heap. After all, this is the guy who made the Statue of Liberty disappear and walked through the Great Wall of China (although some say his greatest magical act was convincing Claudia Schiffer to remain engaged to him for six years). Appearing tonight through Sunday (October 23 to 26) at the Centre in Vancouver for Performing Arts, Copperfield says he’ll predict winning lottery numbers, perform a close-up with a lethal black African scorpion, and squeeze himself into a bite-sized box. He’ll also make 13 audience members disappear—a ticket might make the perfect gift for your snarky mother-in-law.
