Dr. Pepper to make good on Guns N' Roses offer

When buzz started circulating earlier this year that 2008 might finally see the release of the long-delayed Guns N' Roses album Chinese Democracy , the folks who make Dr. Pepper made an unusual promise: if Axl Rose could actually get it together and put the album out before the year was out, they would give everyone in America a Dr. Pepper.

Now that a release date for Chinese Democracy has been set, Dr. Pepper is making good on its offer. For 24 hours on November 23, the day the album is due to hit the shelves at Best Buy, visitors to DrPepper.com will be able to register and download a coupon for a free soft drink.

Sorry, fellow Canadians: looks like the offer will only be good in the United States.
