Gordon Campbell’s Liberals have been in power since the spring of 2001. Now, I’m not a math whiz, but I’m pretty sure that’s 7.5 years? Listening to Minister of Transportation Kevin Falcon earlier this week lament the Lower Mainland’s shortage of buses by saying he wished he “could just sprinkle pixie dust and make them appear, but it doesn’t work that way” was laughable. Every year since 2001, the Liberals have promised us more buses and better service. Every year since 2001, all they’ve ever given us has been higher fares and lower service. I suggest that on May 12, 2009, the commuters of the Lower Mainland will “sprinkle pixie dust” and make all of Gordon Campbell’s Liberals (including Kevin Falcon) disappear.
