Bibimbap is a fantastic stone-bowl dish because of the pleasurable ritual it involves. At Sura Korean Cuisine (1518 Robson Street), a stone bowl filled with rice is topped with seven pretty sections of marinated shredded carrot, bean sprouts, zucchini, ground pork, and more ($9.95). A raw egg yolk glistens in the centre. Add hot pepper paste and stir it all up, cooking the egg. The best part? Digging up the bits of crispy, baked-on rice. Yum.
