With Wal-Mart selling iPhones, Nano rumours take off
Validating some speculation, Wal-Mart has begun selling the iPhone in its U.S. stores, though it appears as if the US$99 four-gigabyte iPhone will remain in the rumour department for the time being.
In order to distinguish itself from other iPhone retailers, Wal-Mart is selling the phones for US$2 less, charging US$197 and US$297 for the eight-gigabyte and 16-gigabyte models respectively.
Wal-Mart Canada has yet to announce any plans regarding the iPhone.
When one rumour fades, there’s always another to take its place.
In this case, it’s the recent speculation on the possibility of an iPhone Nano.
Some say that Apple is working on such product, which, like the iPod Nano, would be smaller and feature different colours.
There have even been “leaked” images of the rumoured phones, which have been discounted as fake by many.
Fuelling the speculation is case-making company Vaja, which recently put a pre-order listing on its site for an iPhone Nano case.
In the last few months, word of products like the new iPod Nanos and the new MacBooks was leaked prior to their release, so don’t be surprised to see something of the sort unveiled in the near future.
