Lenka Kripac holds an Aussie passport, but you could stick her on a bill with Kate Nash and Lily Allen, and no one would go home wishing they’d ponied up for the Arctic Monkeys instead. Once known to diaper dumpers as the host of the kiwi kids’ show Cheez TV, the former member of Decoder Ring steps up to the plate solo with her recently released debut, Lenka. Remember how you couldn’t get tickets to Nash or Allen when they made their Vancouver debuts, not to mention Regina Spektor? Feel free to atone for that when Lenka brings her brand of buoyant antifolk pop to the Media Club on Sunday (January 11).
