TV director and producer Kim Manners succumbed to a battle with lung cancer on Sunday night at the age of 58 at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.
Manners was well-known in the Vancouver film community. He had been working as director and executive producer on the TV series Supernatural in Vancouver, and had previously worked on other Vancouver-shot TV productions, including The X-Files as well as the '80s crime drama series 21 Jump Street , which starred Johnny Depp.
The four-time Emmy nominee had also directed episodes of Charlie’s Angels , Simon and Simon , Baywatch , and Star Trek: The Next Generation .
