Lynn Beavis, coordinator of Concordia University's Faculty of Fine Arts Gallery since 2005, has been appointed as the new director of the Richmond Art Gallery.
Beavis will assume her new role on March 9, 2009, taking over from acting director Nan Capogna.
In a news release, Richmond Art Gallery Association president John Richardson said: "Lynn Beavis brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Richmond Art Gallery. We look forward to working with her as we pursue our vision of being one of the most important public galleries in Canada."
