With the CBC in increasingly dire financial straits, questions have been surfacing about whether we might start hearing advertising on the public broadcaster's radio stations.
Its president Hubert Lacroix has gone on record as saying ads are "on the table" as the corporation tries to deal with a $65 million advertising shortfall and a federal government resolutely opposed to bailing it out.
Friends of Canadian Broadcasting have created a little video clip to demonstrate what CBC Radio might sound like in the future. (Although the use of classical music in this clip is not totally indicative of the fare that's on Radio 2 these days.) Enjoy!
