Grass could be more lush on roof of expanded convention centre

I took a tour of the expanded Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre at this weekend's open house. I wanted to see what the public got for $883 million.

I'm posting a few items in our quickies section to provide some insights.

Exhibit one: the famed grass roof. It's actually not grown out yet, as you can see in the photograph. But perhaps by the time those delegates arrive, they'll ooh and ah at the greenery.
