Buddy Guy at the Red Robinson Show Theatre

The last time Buddy Guy played Vancouver, six months back at the Commodore Ballroom, he ripped the place apart with explosive tunes from his latest CD, Skin Deep, and gave Willie Dixon his due via “(I’m Your) Hoochie Coochie Man”. Expect more of the same when the 72-year-old blues legend brings his trusty black-and-white polka-dot Strat to Coquitlam’s Red Robinson Show Theatre on Saturday (May 9). Since he’s from Chicago, you can even wear your Blackhawks jersey. We wouldn’t recommend it, though, especially if you’ve got Dustin Byfuglien’s name on the back.
