It was announced today that Kuldip Gill, the Vancouver-based poet, author, and educator, passed away on May 10, at the age of 75.
Gill's highly acclaimed first book, Dharma Rasa (Nightwood Editions, 1999), received a BC 2000 Book Award. She was further honoured in 2005 with an honorary doctorate of letters from the University College of the Fraser Valley.
A collection of Gill's poetry titled Valley Sutra is scheduled for release by Caitlin Press this fall.
