Gregor Robertson appears on B.C. government Web site with premier

For years, Premier Gordon Campbell has commandeered the B.C. government Web site as  a means to promote himself.

As soon as the premier  took power, the Web site was redesigned to put the esteemed leader front and centre.

Campbell  is almost always in the main  photo on the government home page, often alongside  distinguished guests. Sometimes, it seems like they're serving as props to boost the premier's image.

In the past, the government has featured photos of the premier alongside Nobel Prize winners such as the Dalai Lama and Archbiship Desmond Tutu.

This weekend, the Paralympics  took centre stage. The photo includes Vancouver mayor Gregor Robertson, who previously praised the premier's carbon tax and suggested that Gordon might achieve a "three-peat" in the May election.

Is Gordo grooming Gregor, a former NDP  MLA,  to become the next B.C. Liberal leader? Stranger things have happened in B.C. politics.

No he's "grooming" Gary Lunn, obviously, because he's standing closer to him. Isn't that clear?

(Charlie the Olympics are coming and I think you're going to get used to all three levels of government being represented in photo ops---Campbell is, too. It's definitely something he wants to be associated with and put on the front page of his website, but it is not a provincial-only effort.)

      You are so funny.

In reality, the BCLiberal party is run by a group of fascist's who seized control from Gordon Wilson way back. There is however a small weak minority of real liberals still left in the party. How they can stand the odor is beyond me.

If we all abandoned the NDP and Green's and joined the BCLiberals en mass, we could within a year boot the Gordo, send the neocons to play with Wilf Hurd and maybe even acclaim the Gregor as Leader.

This is Lotus Land where all is possible!!!

Gordo is no Putin, he can't think that long term.
What he will do is leave everyone high and dry when the time comes.
As this is most probably his last term in office ( even though he has no real competition, but the voters will want him turfed), he will play pretend on grooming one or two contenders, and then will let great joy in seeing them devour each other.
Gordo sees himself a bit like Trudeau ( the legacy he would like to leave behind), and I won't be surprised if he takes a stroll on a winters day and decides to call it quits.
Unfortunately Gordo will leave behind only a legacy of shame, especially with his treatment of the First Nations people, the environment, education, the homeless, and the mentally ill.
He is a despotic, ill informed elitist who thinks that the province should be honoured to have him as leader.
Keep in mind he has been on this maniacal trajectory since he was a lowly assistant to Mayor Art Philips in the 1970's.
He would like to be Prime Minister and if he gets his shot, he will leave the Premiership faster than you can say chicken tikka masala.
Alas, the brass ring is still out of reach and he will cut his nose to spite his face, and those that will suffer will be the people of BC.
