Geek of the Week: Copyright Consultations

      At some time or another, you’ve probably run afoul of Canada’s Copyright Act, by, for instance, illegally downloading or sharing music or software.

      Last year, the Conservative government brought forward a controversial copyright-reform bill that died with the federal election.

      This fall, the government plans to introduce new legislation to bring the act into the Internet age, and it’s asking for your input.

      On the Copyright Consultations Web site, you can find out more, send in your thoughts, discuss five key topics, and view countless submissions by your fellow citizens.

      The deadline for feedback is September 13.
