From Saturday to Monday (October 10 to 12), Yew at the Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver (791 West Georgia Street) is offering a $35 three-courser—including choices like pheasant confit or scallop tempura to start and turkey or braised short ribs as a main. Elixir’s (350 Davie Street) $50 three-course turkey dinner is on Sunday and Monday (October 11 and 12), while Two Chefs and a Table’s (305 Alexander Street) steal-of-a-deal five-course Polderside lamb and turkey dinner ($44) is available on October 10 and 11.
See Red in Fort Langley
Find out where cranberry sauce comes from at the 14th annual Fort Langley Cranberry Festival. Tour a bog, enjoy a pancake breakfast or barbecue lunch, and shop the street market, which will have venders selling gourmet foods and literally tons of cranberries. The fest takes place this Saturday (October 10) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Glover Road between 96th Avenue and Mavis Street; more info can be found at www.cranberryfest.ca.
