Rash Windbaugh: Canwest fights global war on satire despite threat of bankruptcy

On 6-7, evil-doing satirists spoofed one of Canwest Global's shining towers of truth—the Vancouver Sun.

Canwest, Canada's largest media company, has launched a Global War on Satire to ensure that fundamentalist fanatics don't threaten its sacred freedom to monopolize media or mock its profound pro-Israel and neo-conservative bias.

Brave Canwest is teetering on the verge of bankruptcy but it will never abandon the War on Satire. The pernicious parodists will have to pull this SLAPP suit from Canwest's cold dead hand.

Canwest is a clear and present danger to Canadian democrasy, and the sooner they go bankrupt the better. BC in particular and Canada as a whole could end up with a much more balenced media out of the demise of CanWest, the official media arm of the Conservative (republican) party.

Went on a bit long, but there's certainly no better target for satire than good ol' humourless CanWest. The SLAPP suit fits in perfectly with its strategy of media whitewash and the active suppression of alternate points of view.

Shite! I sound like a conspiracist. Oh well, these are the times we live in.

There was a page three article in Vancouver’s Province that read like news about US General William "Jerry" Boykin telling religious groups that Islamic extremists hate the United States "because we're a Christian nation, because our foundation and our roots are Judeo-Christians. ... And the enemy is a guy named Satan.”
Boykin explained about Bush, "Why is this man in the White House? The majority of America did not vote for him. He's in the White House because God put him there for a time such as this."
We could only wish that Canwest believes in satire and this was a real laugh!

The Asper suite against satire (re;The Vancouver Scum newspaper) is a suite against political expression. The anti-slapp suite legislation was repealled by Gord Campbell's gov't and we've seen what great strides they've made against public participation; ie, as in as long as some meeting was called at some remote location and time, the minimal bar for public input requirement was met reguardless that the project was set in stone long before the meeting. Everybody in BC knows this. The Asper stops here, let the threat of real punitive counter-suites against this bankrupt horrible monopoly begin!

A man who knew how to spread his word. A real sport some would say and propagandist as he opens the door to an event that's lite was founded in more in hellfires than in Greed Legends as millions are used to keep the hell fires burning. Hi Asper or is that Hi Gordo and Hi Harper as they all pay homage to a leader who really knew how to spread the BS.
