Aerosmith's Joe Perry will open for Motley Crue at GM Place
Aerosmith had to cancel its scheduled gig at B.C. Place a few months ago after vocalist Steven Tyler injured himself during a show, and lately there have been rumours circulating that he's left the legendary band for good. But diehard fans of Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry will get to see him in action when the Joe Perry Project opens for Motley Crue at GM Place on January 24, 2010.
Perry will be focusing on tunes from his new solo album, Have Guitar, Will Travel, but who's to say he won't throw in the odd Aerosmith gem that he sang lead on? "Bright Light Fright", anyone?
Headliner Motley Crue is touring behind its ninth studio album, Saints of Los Angeles, which is based on its bestselling book, The Dirt.
Tickets go on sale this Friday (November 20) at 10 a.m. at www.livenation.com/.
