Alice in Chains headed to Vancouver

Seattle grunge-rockers Alice in Chains have announced on their website that they will play the Orpheum Theatre on Tuesday, February 2, 2010.

The band's current lineup includes original guitarist Jerry Cantrell, bassist Mike Inez, drummer Sean Kinney, and former Comes With the Fall vocalist William DuVall. DuVall holds the position previously occupied by the group's cofounder, Layne Staley, who, after years of battling drug addiction, was found dead from an overdose of heroine and cocaine on April 19, 2002.

Alice in Chains have sold more than 14 million albums in the U.S. alone; the current lineup released Black Gives Way to Blue, its first studio album in 14 years, two months ago.
