Vancouver's Invoke, Mod7 among winners at 2009 Canadian New Media Awards

Invoke Media has taken home the Best Use of Social Media honours at the 2009 Canadian New Media Awards.

At a gala ceremony today (December 1) in Toronto, the Vancouver-based interactive agency was named a winner for creating the Web-based Twitter app HootSuite.

Mod7 Communications, a Vancouver-based interactive design studio, won in the Best Kids Interactive category for Titanium Chef, a serious game it developed for the B.C. Dairy Foundation.

Hip-hop artist K-os was named Best Online Artist of the Year.
