Geek of the Week: HootSuite for the iPhone

    1 of 1 2 of 1

If you use Twitter on your iPhone, you know it’s much easier to tweet with applications like Tweetie and TweetDeck than the microblogging service’s own bare-bones mobile site.

A new iPhone version of HootSuite, a free Web-based Twitter client developed by Vancouver’s Invoke Media, is the latest app to enter this field.

Launched on December 10, HootSuite for the iPhone lets you manage multiple Twitter accounts, view lists, save searches, and more.

But what set HootSuite apart are features that allow you to schedule tweets in advance and simultaneously post updates to more than one account.

It costs $1.99 in the App Store until the end of today (December 17), after which it’ll go for $2.99.
