According to TMZ, Brittany Murphy has reportedly died of cardiac arrest.

Murphy, who starred in Clueless and 8 Mile, was 32 years old.

Numerous articles on the Web are citing TMZ as the source of information.

An Associated Press article states that the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a call from Murphy's home by her husband.

Entertainment Tonight pointed out that Ashton Kutcher, who once dated the actress, tweeted "2day the world lost a little piece of sunshine. My deepest condolences go out 2 Brittany’s family, her husband, & her amazing mother Sharon" and "see you on the other side kid".

According to IMDb, she has five projects in production or post-production.
