It’s the music that gave a generation a lift out of the Dirty ’30s, so it’s sure to get you back in the swing in the post-Christmas slump. On Sunday and Monday (December 27 and 28), the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra stages A Tribute to Benny Goodman! at the Orpheum, running through hits like “Let’s Dance”, “Bugle Call Ray”, and “Sing Sing Sing”. Starring on the clarinet is virtuoso Dave Bennett (shown here), whose talent might have pleased the King of Swing himself. Don’t be surprised to find yourself foxtrotting your way home.
