COPE monitors Olympic civil liberties threat level with 2010 Oppressometer
The 2010 Oppressometer currently warns that the risk of civil oppression is “high” with three days left in the countdown to the Olympics’ opening ceremony.
In a press conference today, the Coalition of Progressive Electors unveiled the “on-line tool”, a site that monitors threats to civil liberties.
COPE external chair Alvin Singh stated in a press release: “This tool – while somewhat humourous – has a very serious message behind it, and serves to highlight very serious concerns.”
According to the release, the site is “a tongue-in-cheek take on the US Homeland Security threat levels, documenting civil liberty concerns in the months leading up to the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver”.
The most recent entry, labelled “high”, highlights the story of a Chicago-based journalist critical of the Games who was recently denied entry into Canada by border officials.

Here are some of the advantages of a B-1:
Quick--- no delay to start doing business.
No paperwork--- save precious corporate resources.
The US has no control on their money and Canadians can buy and hold land. Easily form corporations, etcetera. The IRS can even as of 08 process Canadian withholding taxes with a Canadian social security card. Its very easy to set up a company in the U.S and conduct tons of "self employment" opportunities.
Well the same thing for Americans coming into Canada. Hence why both sides when anything "work" NAFTA related comes up. Well they tend to question you more. Its extremely easy to operate as a Canadian without documented immigration like visas and green cards. Lawyers don't want people to know how easy it is. NAFTA fees can get pretty high!
Having written the above. The above mentioned Olympics NORAD for Canadian and American federal law enforcement. I believe it will remain after the Olympics. NEXUS will become automatic for both American and Canadians. Enhanced drivers licenses are also tied to vehicle registration. Those license plate cameras tied to the command center jointly run by Canada and the U.S. Plus American agencies having authorization to enforce laws in Canada. Will make having the land border obsolete and it will slowly close! Canada well it will be no more! Conspiracy, maybe but this was in motion before 9/11. Coop NORAD like law enforcement started in 2005--And the whole passport required encouraging enhanced drivers licenses, all pilot programs on how to make this safe. As in open self serve cross into the US just like crossing into a US state from another. The Olympics will cost more then $6billion. Its going to cost Canada itself! Rev Can can also process American withholdings with an American social security card. The sharing of federal agencies is also more then just law enforcement. This is the most expensive Olympics in its history! It will cost an entire sovereign nation!
