Olympics bringing local bands to free stages across Vancouver

    1 of 1 2 of 1

Forget about LiveCity’s round-the-block lineups, the Irish House’s $9.00 Guinness, and every hole-in-the-wall pub all of the sudden charging cover.

The Olympics have given a stage to virtually every local band you can think of–and most of the shows are free.

Venues such as the Edgewater Celebration Village and the Robson Square celebration site are doing an excellent job of showcasing just how great the city’s musicians are.

A few shows we're looking forward to include Hey Ocean! and Said the Whale playing back to back on February 19, the Sojourners on the 21th, and Mother Mother on the 27th.

Check out our calendar of free performances by local acts. We’ve listed more than 200 shows!.

Thanks. Kind of lame that the casino didn't post a schedule of music at the Village.
