Video: Damian Marley gets Vancouver moving at LiveCity Yaletown

Damian Marley could have comfortably spent his life in a hammock on a beach in Jamaica, smoking away his days with the finest of island herbs.

As the son of musical icon Bob Marley, the reggae rapper known to fans as Jr. Gong could also, just as easily, have ridden is father's coattails to stardom.

The fact that Damian has done neither and instead spent the last decade and a half carving out his own sound packed with energy and buoyed by a spirit of activism is why a capacity crowd filled LiveCity Yaletown last night (February 24) and screamed praise for every song.

Backed by five instrumentalists and two singers who danced as if possessed by some awesome voodoo curse, Damian gave 8,000 people something to bounce to.

      So here’s “Move”.
