Canada's Joannie Rochette wins bronze medal in figure skating at Olympics

Days after the sudden death of her mother, Canadian figure skater Joannie Rochette has won a bronze medal at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

At the Pacific Coliseum tonight (February 25), Yu-Na Kim of South Korea skated to gold.

Mao Asada of Japan grabbed the silver medal.

Rochette garnered scores of 71.36 in the short program and 131.28 in the free skate for a total score of 202.64.

Kim ended up with a winning total score of 228.56.

Asada earned a total score of 205.50.

Rochette's bronze represents Canada's 17th medal of the Games.
