Video: Girl Talk's LiveCity Yaletown show absolute fun

If you weren’t at LiveCity Yaletown on Friday (February 26), you have something to regret.

You should have been there to see the man born Gregg Michael Gillis ripping his shirt off to the screams of 8,000 people wanting more. You would have marvelled at this boy from Pittsburgh leaping onto the table holding his equipment, and reaching between his legs to spin twisted house into beautiful pop disasters. You would have seen how obvious it is that Girl Talk really loves what he’s doing, and works his damn hardest to get off every fan dancing in front of him.

There was nothing musically brilliant about Friday night’s show. Girl Talk doesn’t do a whole lot more with his craft than mix other people’s work into something you can dance to.

      But it was fucking fun.

For his Olympic show in Vancouver, Girl Talk played like a champion and gave the crowd everything he had.

Here’s a little bit of the show. Rough cuts but that sort of fits.

Girl Talk was great but I have to say that the crowd was embarrassing. This article neglects to mention the fact that Girl Talk stopped the music not once, but twice; threatening to stop the show unless Vancouver fans "woke up." I would be surprised if he comes back after such a terrible crowd reaction.
