Howard Stern calls Jay Leno a thief and a lapdog, says he makes him want to puke

Howard Stern is famous for putting his mouth where his mouth is, and yesterday on the CBS Early Show the "King of All Media" really lived up to his reputation.

Stern, a self-described "man of mystery", doesn't do a lot of TV interviews, but when he heard that CBS wanted him to comment on the Jay Leno/Conan O'Brien late-night-slot controversy, he jumped at the chance to bash Leno.

In an interview with Harry Smith from Stern's Sirius XM Radio studio he ranted about how Leno is a lapdog for NBC and always steals people's material because his show doesn't have one original thought. “Just the mere mention of Jay Leno’s name makes me wanna vomit," said Stern. "I don’t like this guy."

Arguably, the best part of the interview came at the very end when Read was trying to shut down the motormouth so the CBS Early Show could move on to its next segment.

"You have absolutely nothing to go to," remarked Stern in his typically caustic fashion, "you should stick with me the rest of the morning." He was probably right.

In other Leno-related news, there's a bit of an Olympic theme to his show tonight (11:30 pm on NBC). You remember the Olympics, right? When Crosby scored? Leno's guests will include Apolo Ohno, the American speed-skating great who kicked some butt in Richmond, and Canuck rocker Avril Lavigne, who played at the closing ceremonies. Also scheduled to appear are American comic Chelsea Handler and the cast of Jersey Shore, a trashy reality show that features a jerky guy with abs named "The Situation".

I love that Howard Stern calls it as he sees it; mainly because they way he sees it is so much more clear than other loudmouths such as Don Cherry, Don Imus, Bruce Allen, Rush Limbaugh and the likes.

In this case, once again, Stern is completely correct.

I agree, Therzo, good point.
