30th annual Razzies: Transformers, Sandra Bullock get razzed

Yikes! Sandra Bullock is now poised to make dubious history if she wins an Oscar on Sunday night (March 7) for best actress in The Blind Side. She’d be the first Oscar winner to have simultaneously also won a worst actress award (for her role in All About Steve) in the same year.

Previously, Halle Berry had won a Razzie for the 2004 film Catwoman, but she won her Oscar for Monster’s Ball in 2001.

The Razzies, by the Golden Raspberry Award Foundation, named the worst in Hollywood filmmaking in 2009 tonight.

Bullock, who beat Beyoncé, Miley Cyrus, Megan Fox, and Sarah Jessica Parker for worst actress, went on to also be named cowinner of the worst screen couple award, which she shared with Bradley Cooper.

The big winner—or loser, depending on how you look at it—was the awful Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, which scooped up three Razzies: worst film, worst screenplay, and worst director (Michael Bay). Ouch.

But it didn’t win in all the categories it was nominated in—Land of the Lost beat Transformers for worst prequel, remake, rip-off, or sequel.

Perhaps musical acts shouldn't bother with the cross-over attempts: the Jonas Brothers won the worst actor award while Billy Ray Cyrus was named worst supporting actor.

Meanwhile, Sienna Miller was named worst supporting actress for her role as the evil Baroness in G.I Joe: The Rise of Cobra.

As for worst of the decade, Paris Hilton (4 Razzies), Eddie Murphy (12 Razzies), and Battlefield Earth (8 Razzies) were named in the respective categories of worst actress, actor, and picture.

Now that Hollywood’s worst has been dealt with, there’s another set of fruity awards. The Golden Kela Awards are set to razz Bollywood in India on March 12 (kela means banana in Hindi).
